PERSONAL PROPERTY VALUATION COURSES ONLINE
These online joint offerings by the University of Missouri-Columbia and the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) provide personal property valuation education over the Internet. Courses address the personal property valuation industry and methods and provide access to students who are unable to participate in a regular classroom setting. These courses are requisites to achieve a designation with the American Society of Appraisers.
What is personal property appraisal?
Personal property appraisers value tangible, movable property that is utilitarian, collectible or decorative, or that retains value in some combination of these attributes. Appraisers' spheres of expertise are typically in one or more of the following specialties:

- antiques and decorative arts (including ceramics, furniture, objets de virtu)

What are the course fees?
ASA members: $700 per course
All others: $750 per course
Note: Course fees will be based on membership status at the time of enrollment in the course(s).
What is the refund policy?
The refund policy for five-week online courses is as follows:

| 7th through 12th day of the course |

Course days are counted by excluding Saturdays, Sundays and University
holidays. Students must notify MU Direct by e-mail to MUdirect@missouri.edu, or by fax or in writing.
Notifying the instructor is not sufficient. The amount refunded will be based on the date written notification from the student is received by MU Direct, not the last date of participation in the course.
