Educational Leadership: Online Master’s Degree
Post-Baccalaureate Students
Students may enroll in up to six credit hours of core courses (two courses) prior to admission to the degree program. This allows an opportunity to begin course work before initiating the admission process. However, for these hours to transfer into the student's degree program admission must be finalized and the student must be admitted to the program by completion of the six hours.
After admission into the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis degree program, students enroll in EL413 Action Research/Internship. (EL413 must be taken the first semester the student has been admitted into the degree program.) In addition, students can take one or more of the other ELPA leadership "focus" courses (EL409, EL410, EL411 or EL412).
Note: Enrolling in a course does not provide acceptance into the degree program. Students who are applying course credit toward a degree must be accepted into the degree program before they finish six hours of course work (see below).
Transcripts
All post-baccalaureate students who are new to MU will be required to provide an official copy of their undergraduate transcripts (showing degree and completion dates) at time of enrollment. To facilitate enrollment, you may fax a copy to MU Direct at 573-882-5071 but then must mail an official copy to be delivered within the first month of enrollment. Address official transcripts to: MU Direct: Continuing and Distance Education, University of Missouri-Columbia, 102 Whitten Hall, Columbia, MO 65211.
Financial aid
Federal financial aid requires students to be degree-seeking and fully admitted into the degree program.
