Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program
Magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, is a medical imaging modality that provides physicians with sectional images of the body. Using magnets, radio waves and specialized computers, images are obtained that demonstrate internal anatomical features in a variety of anatomic planes. Magnetic resonance images aid in the diagnosis of pathological conditions that are difficult to evaluate through conventional radiography.
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to be competitive in today's labor market. All of the courses in this program are offered through distance education, so you can conveniently cross-train right where you are, while receiving the same personal attention you would receive in the regular classroom.
