Special Education
The Department of Special Education offers a range of online courses intended to enhance the professional knowledge and ability of the special education teacher. The courses are taught by faculty engaged in a variety of ongoing and timely research activities. Courses blend together current research, theory and practical application in an interactive course environment involving students and instructor.
Gifted Education and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) courses can be taken individually or as part of the Master’s in Education degree program. Degree program details for the focus areas can be found at our degrees page.
Most of the courses are three credit hour graduate-level classes.
These semester-length courses let you study when it's convenient--without having to attend class! And you'll be able to network and share experiences with colleagues in other parts of the country.
