Credit Course Payment Options

Fees for credit courses administered by MU Direct are billed through the University of Missouri Cashiers Office.

Bill Me: Fees will be billed through the University's Cashiers department. Payments can be made by check, travelers' checks, or money order payable to the University of Missouri-Columbia or online at the myZou Payment Center by check or credit card. Notice: Discover and MasterCard credit card payments accepted only online (fee applies). Although Visa credit cards are not accepted, you can pay using checks associated with your Visa card. The check will be processed as a check payment, and you will be subject to any and all fees associated with using Visa checks (as determined by your credit card company). Visit the Office of Cashiers web site.

The myZou Payment Center allows you to view and pay your bill online (through electronic debit of your checking account). You can view your most recent bill, past bills up to 12 months and current activity that has occurred since your most recent bill was mailed. You also can make an online check or credit card payment directly from this site. You will need to know your PawPrint and password to sign in to this secure server program.

Educational Assistance: An Educational Assistance approval form must be submitted to the appropriate Human Resources office each semester. For more information about the program see Educational Assistance for Active Employees.

Educational Fee Reduction for Spouses and Dependents: A fifty percent reduction of educational fees is available for an eligible spouse or dependent child of eligible employees for up to 140 hours of University of Missouri credit courses per spouse or dependent child. This form will only need to be submitted once per individual per campus. For more information about the program see Educational Fee Reduction for Spouses and Dependents.

MU Financial Aid: Federal financial aid is available to degree-seeking students and includes grants, loans, and graduate fee waivers.

Third Party: Include the following, and mail or fax a letter of authorization.

  • Your full name and student number or social security number
  • The time period their sponsorship covers (one semester or multiple semesters, for example)
  • Specification of the fees to be covered, or specifically not covered, under the agreement or a maximum dollar amount if appropriate
  • Specific authorization for the University of Missouri-Columbia to bill them on your behalf
  • The name and address of the sponsoring agency where the bills should be sent, with a phone number for us to call if we have questions.

After receipt of a student’s enrollment form indicating third-party billing, an e-mail reminder will be sent to the student to follow up with their third-party payer. See guidelines for third-party billing.
