New Degree-Seeking Student Admissions
Degree-seeking graduate students
Students interested in seeking a graduate degree apply directly to the academic program in which they are interested. The department will provide you with University and departmental admission requirements. For a list of departments offering degree programs through MU Direct visit Degrees and Programs. An application fee will apply.
Some departments allow students to begin their program of study as a non-degree student pending acceptance into the degree program. Check the departmental requirements in your area of interest before starting the MU Direct enrollment process. If you have questions, contact the Student Coordinator in your area or contact MU Direct online or at 800-545-2604.
Note: Until you are officially admitted to a degree program, you will not qualify for federal financial aid.

Transcript requirements
To receive graduate credit at the University of Missouri-Columbia, students are required to provide an official baccalaureate transcript from an accredited institution. The transcripts must include the official degree conferred and the date the degree was awarded.
To avoid delayed enrollment, MU Direct may accept faxed or photocopied versions of transcripts as temporary supporting documentation. Fax temporary copies to: 573-882-5071. Enrollment forms will be processed after the transcript is received.
If the undergraduate degree is from MU, or if an official copy of the bachelor's degree transcript is already on file, the student may enroll for graduate credit.
If an official bachelor's degree transcript is not on file, the student must ask the degree-granting institution to send an official copy to:
