New Credit Students

Welcome letter

Students will receive an e-mail beginning one month prior to the start date of the class. This letter will include the web-based courses that are on your schedule and provide an overall timeline for MU Direct correspondence.

PawPrint and Mizzou e-mail account letter

Beginning approximately one month prior to the course start date, new students will receive detailed instructions on setting up their student account.

Blackboard and/or WebCT demo course

MU Direct will begin e-mailing demo instructions approximately one month prior to the course start date. The demo courses help students become familiar with the course delivery format. Students taking both Blackboard and WebCT courses will receive a letter for each format.

Course access

Approximately one week before the course start date, students will be notified that it is time to begin accessing their online course sites and provided instructions. The login site for both Blackboard and WebCT is http://courses.missouri.edu.

New students will receive the Welcome, PawPrint and Demo course information to their personal e-mail account. The Course Access information will ONLY be sent to a Mizzou account.

Note: Students who enroll the week prior to the start date of a course may experience delays in accessing their online courses. It generally takes up to 48 hours for the MU system to generate a PawPrint account. Since students must know their PIN to activate their PawPrint and set up a password, it is highly recommended that ALL new students enroll at least two weeks prior to the start of the course.
